Facebook Worm
The site thathotsite.com is a phishing website designed to trick people into giving away their valid e-mail address (in what I believe is an attempt to gain addresses for spamming and selling).
There is a Facebook worm going around telling folks that their picture is there. It is a lie.

Federal Income Tax? Don't think so...
I happened upon a very interesting paper while trying to figure out withholding rules.
According to this guy, the Federal Income Tax does not actually apply to a citizen of the USA as long as they have no income from foreign countries.
What do you think?

Here is an example of a successful person refusing withholding:

Lissajous anyone?
Here is a type of plot produced by the x y function on an oscilloscope sampling 2 different frequency sources at integer ratios. Beating patterns are are visible as collapses in the plot. This has to have some application in a really neat art-music medium.

Obama - Muslim?
He does know at least the beginning to the Islamic call to prayer:
http://select.nytimes.com/2007/03/06/opinion/06kristof.html?_r=3&oref=slogin&oref=slogin&oref=slogin
The author is a staunch liberal and strong Obama supporter obviously.
Here are another couple of articles that are interesting:

Umm...don't think it's going to happen
"Require 25 Percent of Renewable Electricity by 2025: Obama will establish a 25 percent federal Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) to require that 25 percent of electricity consumed in the U.S. is derived from clean, sustainable energy sources, like solar, wind and geothermal by 2025."
From http://www.barackobama.com/issues/energy/#reduce-gas-price-burden
This is nearly laughable. Solar and Wind generation sources themselves are not nearly stable enough to be relied upon for even 15% of the nation's electricity, even if the generation methods were very efficient. This shows a bit of ignorance on Obama's part. Now if nuclear were included in this, it would be very possible. But for some reason Obama refuses to acknowledge that the technology is already there (but the government and pointless environmentalist litigation is preventing real development).
What on earth is the United States waiting for?! Look at France:
* France derives over 75% of its electricity from nuclear energy. This is due to a long-standing policy based on energy security.
* France is the world's largest net exporter of electricity due to its very low cost of generation, and gains over EUR 3 billion per year from this.
* France has been very active in developing nuclear technology. Reactors and fuel products and services are a major export.

Hydrogen Production/Water Fuel Cell
Ok, before you are amazed by such videos as these:
or anything from here:
http://waterfuelcell.org/
make sure you check
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanley_Meyer
Notice that Stanley Meyer's invention was deemed fraudulent by an Ohio court and that he was sued over trying to sell the invention.
Also, remember that there are no systems that can "produce" more energy than they consume.
It was just too good to be true!
